The cover of French fashion magazine "Elle" was Carre Otis' big break and gave her international exposure. She was soon modelling for Calvin Klein and Guess. Similar to many models, Carre attempted to cross over to the big screen and appeared in "Wild Orchid" (1990) with now ex-husband Mickey Rourke.Carre is a Buddhist and overcame a long-time battle with bulimia, which was aggravated by her career in the high fashion industry. Now a size 12, Carre works actively as a plus-sized fashion model.
